Eastman Naia
?
Eastman Naia is a cellulosic fiber similar to viscose but has much lower water usage and better management of chemicals. It can be considered a more environmental friendly type of viscose and it is biodegradable. The cellulose is sourced from pine and eucalyptus forests and plantations, to ensure no contribution to deforestation of ancient and endangered forests. They have traceability from source to fiber, and has received a high ranking of cellulosic material in Canopy’s 2020 Hot Button Report. It should be noted that the fiber is produced by two chemical giants, DuPont and Eastman.
